Job summary

Code Ninjas is seeking an enthusiastic Code Sensei to join our team in Indian Trail, NC. You will learn the center's curriculum and coach students through coding projects and challenges, helping them build confidence and problem-solving skills in a fun, safe environment.

No prior experience required; training is provided. Availability Tue-Fri 3:00 PM–7:00 PM, reliable transportation, and a passion for working with kids are key.

Qualifications

• Recent high school graduate, college student, or recent graduate (preferred).
• Available Tuesday through Friday, approx. 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Enjoys working with children ages 5–14.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
• Patient, encouraging, and able to communicate clearly with both children and parents.
• Basic understanding of computers and technology.
• Working knowledge of block-based coding and basic JavaScript.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and teaching techniques.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Code Ninjas curriculum through our structured training program.
• Coach and guide students as they work through coding projects and challenges.
• Help children build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love of technology.
• Create a fun, welcoming, and safe learning environment.
• Support new students during trial sessions and provide feedback to parents.
• Encourage students while maintaining high learning standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Keep the dojo clean, organized, and ready for classes.
• Work closely with the Center Director and Lead Senseis as part of a supportive team.
