Job summary

The Town of Rangeley is seeking a full-time Code Enforcement Officer to supervise two part-time deputy CEOs in the review of over 100 building permits annually. Rangeley is a MUBEC community with a Code of Ordinances, a fresh Comprehensive Plan, and active citizen committees.

Certification as a CEO is required within 12 months of hire, and a Maine Class C driver's license is required at time of hire. The position pays $60,000 to $81,000 per year, plus full-time benefits including 80%

Qualifications

• Certification as a CEO within 12 months of hire.
• Valid Maine Class C driver's license at time of hire.
• Experience reviewing building permits and code enforcement is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two part-time deputy CEOs in reviewing 100+ building permits per year.
• Enforce Town codes and ordinances as Code Enforcement Officer.
• Coordinate with residents, committees and other town staff.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $81,000 (with overtime) plus full time benefits as provided by policy to include 80% employer paid health insurance and MEPERS or Missionsquare.
