Job summary

Minnesota City Jobs is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer to support the City's code compliance program by investigating violations, preparing notices and reports, and connecting residents with helpful resources.

It will also collaborate with a cross-functional team of City staff across multiple departments to ensure a comprehensive, community-focused enforcement process.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with diverse groups of internal/external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as mobile devices and applications.
• Preferred qualifications include three years’ experience related to code compliance and enforcement, construction inspection, property maintenance inspection, or a related field and the completion of advanced coursework or professional training/certification related to inspections.
• Candidates must also have a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check.

Job description

It will also collaborate with a cross-functional team of City staff across multiple departments to ensure a comprehensive, community-focused enforcement process.
