Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join its Southwest Facilities team in Austin, TX. You will lead inspections and plan reviews across building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems while ensuring adherence to state and local codes.

The role requires hands-on inspection experience, strong project management, and the ability to mentor inspectors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 5 years of code compliance inspection experience.
• At least one ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I/II); IECC certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Texas State Licensed Plumbing Inspector certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform third-party inspections for building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Prepare and submit daily time and inspection reports per ECS policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of state and local building code regulations and procedures.
• Manage code-compliance projects, including plan reviews, technical support, inspections, and site meetings.
• Mentor and train other building inspectors as needed.
• Assist with management of P&L and client development through marketing activities related to code inspections.
