Job summary

The City of Arvada is seeking a proactive Code Compliance Officer to protect the safety and livability of our neighborhoods. You will investigate complaints, perform on-site inspections of commercial and residential properties, and enforce municipal codes with a balance of enforcement and public service.

You will interact with residents and businesses, document findings, prepare reports, and support hearings.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of International Property Maintenance Code and local codes.
• Ability to obtain CJIS and Code Enforcement certifications within the specified timeline.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to property maintenance and municipal code violations.
• Performs on-site inspections of buildings and sites for compliance.
• Initiates enforcement actions, prepares documentation and reports.
