Job summary

The Town of Fort Myers Beach, Florida is hiring a Code Compliance Officer II. In this role, you will ensure compliance with local laws and ordinances while conducting inspections and investigating violations. This position requires significant fieldwork and interaction with the community.

You will be responsible for enforcing the Town's Land Development Code and educating the public on regulations. The salary ranges from $21.59 to $24.71 per hour with competitive benefits including health insurance and retirement planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in code compliance or related fields.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and enforce municipal codes.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and job site visits to verify compliance.
• Analyze complaints regarding zoning violations and public safety concerns.
• Coordinate with government and law agencies for code enforcement.
