Job summary

Daily inspections may include commercial, residential, and proactive sweeps, with work extending to weekends or after hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus three years of enforcement-related experience.
• Two years post-high school education may substitute for experience.
• Must have a valid Florida driver’s license; certification in enforcement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints and enforce applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• Perform inspections on a daily basis, including weekends and outside hours as needed.
• Prepare documents and correspondence to pursue voluntary or formal enforcement.
• Maintain case files and use case management software to track actions and dates.
• Communicate clearly with the public and other staff; present information in court or enforcement settings.
