Job summary

Town of Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a fully qualified construction inspector to perform on-site inspections for compliance with building codes, zoning and safety standards. You will assist contractors, promote code awareness, and maintain detailed inspection records in a fast-paced municipal setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of related experience, and ICC inspector certifications with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• ICC Certification for Commercial, Residential, Electrical or Mechanical Inspector.
• Driver’s License and willingness to maintain required licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site inspections for compliance with building codes and ordinances.
• Assists contractors and builders in meeting code requirements.
• Promotes codes and departmental programs to the community.
• Performs lot location checks for zoning compliance.
• Maintains inspection records and writes corrective notices.
