Job description

What You'll Do

• Perform third-party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections.
• Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Manage code compliance projects, including reviewing plans, providing technical support, conducting inspections, monitoring project progress for performance and budget, preparing proposals, attending site meetings, and resolving technical and administrative issues.
• Mentor and train other building inspectors as needed.
• Assist with management of P & L, and participate in marketing and business development related to code inspections.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in code compliance inspection or plan review of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• At least one valid ICC certification (e.g., B2, M2, P2, or E2).
• A valid driver’s license if driving for or on behalf of ECS.
