Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking team members to join our front-line service team in a fast-paced restaurant environment in New York, Town of Florida. You will greet guests, take and input orders, deliver meals, handle payments, and support a smooth service flow.

A positive attitude and reliable work ethic are essential. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours in a safety-conscious, team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read handwriting, invoices, and guest checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Support fellow employees with table appearance and running food/drink.
• Know menus and promotions and answer guests' questions clearly.
• Enter orders into POS accurately.
• Retrieve and deliver orders to guests promptly.
• Process payments and provide correct change using POS.
• Handle shift changes and opening/closing duties.
• Verify and pack ToGo orders with guests.
• Greet guests at curbside pickup area.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately enter orders into POS system
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Pack and verfy all ToGo orders with guest
• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Work in a fast paced environment
