Job summary

The National in Oklahoma City, operated by Coury Hospitality, is hiring a Cocktail Server to join our fast-paced bar and lounge team. You will take guest orders, craft and serve cocktails, and provide knowledgeable recommendations to elevate every visit.

You should bring hospitality passion, prior cocktail serving or bartending experience, and comfort using a POS system and handling cash. The role emphasizes clean tables, teamwork with bartenders and leadership, flexible evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous cocktail serving or bartending experience preferred.
• Previous restaurant, bar, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to explain beverage offerings and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to accurately operate a point-platform system.
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
• Ability to follow Coury Hospitality cash handling policy and all applicable service standards.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma State ABLE License.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and providing attentive, engaging, and elevated service in a fast-paced bar and lounge environment.
• Accurately taking and processing guest food and beverage orders through the POS.
• Serving cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and food with confidence and care.
• Using knowledge of cocktails, wine, and other beverages to answer questions and provide recommendations.
• Communicating with Bartenders, support Curators, and Management for smooth service.
• Maintaining clean, organized tables and service areas during the shift.
• Bussing and resetting tables and keeping areas clean and polished.
• Completing side work and replenishing service areas as needed.
• Operating the POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Handling cash and credit transactions per cash-handling procedures.
• Reviewing checks for accuracy and obtaining signatures when required.
• Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly and professionally.
• Maintaining a polished, professional presence and energetic atmosphere.
