You’re a great fit for this role if you love
- Welcoming guests promptly and creating a friendly, engaging atmosphere from the moment they approach the bar.
- Presenting beverage menus, answering questions, and making thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
- Creating classic and contemporary cocktails with a strong understanding of flavor balance, ingredients, technique, and presentation.
- Demonstrating knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, garnishes, pricing, and beverage selections.
- Providing wine service when needed and confidently recommending food and beverage pairings.
- Taking beverage orders accurately and entering them promptly into the POS system.
- Communicating allergies and dietary restrictions clearly and accurately on guest tickets.
- Taking tables in the bar or dining room when assigned by Management.
- Checking in with guests throughout their experience to ensure they are satisfied with their food and beverages.
- Learning the names and preferences of regular guests and making them feel genuinely recognized and welcomed.
- Processing guest payments, credit card transactions, and change accurately.
- Keeping bottles, glassware, tools, and bar supplies organized, stocked, and ready for service.
- Maintaining a clean and polished bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, storage areas, and other service spaces.
- Assisting with inventory restocking and replenishment of bar supplies.
- Communicating equipment or maintenance concerns to Management promptly.
Maintaining open communication with FoH, BoH, and Hotel Curators to ensure seamless service.
Thanking every guest sincerely and creating a warm, memorable farewell.

- You enjoy learning about new food and beverage offerings and are comfortable making thoughtful recommendations.
- You have a growing or established knowledge of wine by the glass and are eager to continue developing your bottle knowledge.
- You are outgoing, positive, and comfortable creating genuine connections with guests.
- You can prioritize and multitask while maintaining accuracy and hospitality during high-volume service.
- You remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented when handling guest requests or challenges.
- You have basic math and cash-handling skills and can accurately operate a POS system.
- You understand the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and responsible beverage service.
- You are dependable and committed to excellent attendance and punctuality.

Education And Experience
- Previous bartending, serving, restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must maintain any applicable state or local alcohol service license or certification required for the position.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, garnishes, and beverage selections.
- Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes and preparation techniques.
- Ability to make thoughtful food and beverage pairing recommendations.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, ordering procedures, and cash handling.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to think clearly, prioritize, and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods, including up to five hours at a time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and move throughout the bar and dining areas.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to safely handle glassware, bottles, bar tools, food, beverages, and other service equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced bar environment with frequent guest interaction and changing priorities.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the bar and service areas.
- Ability to remain professional, attentive, and hospitable during high-volume service periods.
- Must wear closed-toe, non-canvas, non-skid-soled shoes while working.
