  • Greeting guests promptly and warmly and taking ownership of their dining experience from beginning to end.
  • Guiding guests through the menu, answering questions, making recommendations, and creating an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, brands, pricing, promotions, and daily specials.
  • Taking food and beverage orders accurately and entering them promptly into the POS system.
  • Clearly communicating allergies and dietary restrictions to the Kitchen and on guest tickets.
  • Retrieving and delivering food and beverage orders accurately and within expected service times.
  • Monitoring tables throughout the meal and proactively replenishing beverages and responding to guest needs.
  • Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to all applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Clearing plates at the appropriate time and asking for assistance when items cannot be safely cleared by one person.
  • Providing thoughtful crumb service when appropriate throughout the dining experience.
  • Keeping your service station stocked, organized, clean, and ready for every service period.
  • Presenting checks accurately, processing payments, and counting back change when applicable.
  • Keeping tables, service areas, and the bar clean, orderly, and properly stocked.
  • Clearing and resetting tables efficiently for the next guest.
  • Responding to guest questions, concerns, and service recovery opportunities with professionalism and genuine care.
  • Communicating with support Curators, Hosts, Managers, and Kitchen and Bar teams to keep service running smoothly.
  • Thanking every guest sincerely and creating a warm farewell at the end of their experience.

Education and Experience

  • Previous serving, bartending, restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverage, ingredients, cooking techniques, and service standards preferred.
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, drink recipes, and beverage pricing preferred.
  • Ability to confidently make food and beverage pairing recommendations.
  • Ability to execute professional wine service.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to accurately process guest payments.
  • Experience with POS systems and restaurant ordering procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and maintain fast-paced mobility for periods of four hours or more.
  • Ability to move quickly and gracefully between the dining room, service areas, and kitchen.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 15-30 pounds.
  • Ability to safely carry food, beverages, trays, dishes, and other service equipment.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment with frequent guest interaction and changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, focus, and a high level of energy during busy service periods.
  • Must maintain a polished appearance and adhere to all grooming and uniform standards.
