Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Iowa is seeking a cocktail server to provide exceptional service, taking beverage orders, preparing and serving cocktails, and ensuring a memorable guest experience on the casino floor.

You will greet guests, balance trays, follow recipes, maintain a clean work area, and comply with liquor regulations. The role requires 6 months of similar experience, ability to stand all shift, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six months experience as cocktail server or similar preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes and beverage preparation.
• Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Stamina to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to carry and balance trays up to 10 pounds.
• Must obtain/maintain required licenses and certifications.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests' needs and provide attentive service throughout their visit.

• Adhere to all property, company, health, safety, state,regulatory, and liquor service regulations

• Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a cocktail server or in a similar role preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with friendly outgoing personality
• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes and beverage preparation
• Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Stamina to work on feet for extended periods of time
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Ability to carry and balance trays weighing up to ten (10) pounds
• Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in smoke, flashing lights, and excessive noise.
