Position Summary

MIN WAGE + TIPS

Provide the highest level of quality and service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations in the restaurant.

Essential Functions
  • Gre​et all guests and co‑workers in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
  • Present drink menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
  • Follow T S protocol and inform manager on duty for all noted guest allergies.
  • Explain various drink menu items including types of ingredients and flavors; describe and recommend wines to guests as needed.
  • Check guests’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
  • Verbally take guests’ beverage orders and enter orders into computers for transmittal to bar staff.
  • Serve beverages to guests; adding the appropriate garnishes as required.
  • Carry tray in one hand while serving or clearing; carry tray while walking up and down stairs.
  • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their beverages and take action to correct any problems.
  • Assist in removal of dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
  • Carry full bus tubs to and from kitchen.
  • Stock service areas with supplies as required.
  • Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding attendance.
  • Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury.
  • Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health.

  • Experience: Six months to one year related experience.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with Point of Sale System.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Must take and pass all training tests 90% or higher.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Work Environment

Fast paced, high-energy, moderately noisy environment containing multiple personality types. Can become crowded and high-pressure.

Senses: Sound (hear verbal requests by guests, coworkers, and managers), Vision (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception), Smell, Taste, Touch.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – non-slip shoes, back belt if lifting more than 20 lbs, safety gloves when using knife.
