Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives across the United States. We are currently seeking a COBOL Programmer to join our team.

Summary:

• Client Agency: Department Logistics Agency.
• Must be able to successfully obtain a Public Trust level clearance. Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies.
• Research and document computer user requirements. Analyze objectives and problems identified by analysts and designers. Translate system design solutions into detailed program specifications. Assist with documentation for programmers, users, and support staff. Contribute to program design, data definition, and error message arrangements. Support modification and documentation of program code for error correction or enhancement. Assist with testing applications and preparing status reports on system software.

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust level clearance. Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in system development using COBOL, specifically with scheduling and time and attendance systems.
• 2+ years of experience assisting with management, development, testing, and maintenance of computer programs to meet user needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferences:

• An ACTIVE U.S. Government SECRET clearance or higher.
