Job summary

Ampcus Inc is seeking a Cobol/Mainframe Developer to work on Card Management Systems in Milwaukee, WI. You will implement COBOL programs, JCL, and modernize legacy processes while handling high-volume transactions.

The role requires 8 years of software development, Linux/UNIX/z/OS expertise, and hands-on coding in both mainframe and containerized environments. Strong communication and financial services experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Working knowledge in Linux, UNIX & z/OS operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle backend business logic in Cobol/Mainframe environments.
• Develop in both legacy Mainframe TSO and modern server/container environments.
• Contribute to transformation/modernization of high-volume processing to scalable On-prem Distributed or Cloud.
• Collaborate in design sessions and produce technical design/documentation.
• Perform strong unit testing and be on on-call support when required.
