Job summary

Malibu Boats, Inc. in Cobalt TN (Lenoir) is seeking a Grinder to prep fiberglass parts by grinding, trimming, drilling, and cutting using established measurements, drill guides and templates.

You will move parts into the grinding booth, use hand, power and pneumatic tools, and read work orders or prints to lay out options. The role requires basic math and reading skills, and safety PPE is mandatory; typical 10-hour shifts with overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• General math skills required.

Responsibilities

Summary: Prep fiberglass part(s) by grinding, trimming, drilling, and cutting using pre-established measurements, drill guides and templates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Move parts into the grinding booth, pull part from mold.
• Grind, trim, drill and cut parts, using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Use proper equipment and processes.
• Layout of options by reading work orders, using prints and/or overlays.
• General housekeeping of tools, area, and department, this includes keeping track of the filter log for the dust chamber
• Work quickly, safely, and efficiently to meet production schedule and tack times.
• Other duties may be assigned.
