Job summary

MBI is seeking a Grinder in Cobalt/Lenoir, TN. You will prep fiberglass parts by grinding, trimming, and cutting using templates and drill guides.

Responsibilities include operating grinding equipment, reading work orders, maintaining cleanliness, and meeting production tack times. Teamwork and safety are emphasized throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• General math skills required.

Department: Hole cut

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly

Summary: Prep fiberglass part(s) by grinding, trimming, drilling, and cutting using pre-established measurements, drill guides and templates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Move parts into the grinding booth, pull part from mold.
• Grind, trim, drill and cut parts, using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Use proper equipment and processes.
• Layout of options by reading work orders, using prints and/or overlays.
• General housekeeping of tools, area, and department, this includes keeping track of the filter log for the dust chamber
• Work quickly, safely, and efficiently to meet production schedule and tack times.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
