Communications Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Coax Splicer in Hanover to perform cable upgrades and splicing both aerial and underground. You will test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation while ensuring all work meets industry standards.

The position requires 18+ years old, US work authorization, a valid driver's license, and either coax splicing experience or telecom background. DOT medical card and pole climber credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam for a valid medical card.
• Six months coax splicing experience or one year in telecom; pole climber certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely work at heights from underground to the air.
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance and fluid checks.
• Document work via daily production reports and map updates.
• Other duties as assigned.

At Communications Construction Group, LLC, as a Coax Splicer, you’ll work in telecommunications construction, splicing coaxial system networks for communication companies that provide internet, cable TV, and telephone services.

What you’ll do

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Six months of coax splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industryCertified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work in confined space, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles

The wage range for Coax Splicer - Hanover is$18.00 - $30.00 .
