Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Production Technician (Batch Maker) to weigh, mix, and compound materials according to batch records, while maintaining a safe and organized production area. You will work closely with the Production Lead, operate forklift and drum handling equipment, and ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and inventory control to meet strict fulfillment specifications.

Qualifications

• Current attendance with a strong safety record and ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh, mix, and dispense materials per batch records.
• Assist Production Lead during batching and compounding, monitor for abnormal conditions.
• Label containers and equipment with correct product and batch information.
• Verify labels and quantities match batch records prior to processing.
• Document all steps per batch records and SOPs.
• Prepare equipment for next production run, perform size changes as needed.
• Package finished coatings per fulfillment specs.
• Assemble and verify customer orders from stock and place on pallets/holding areas.
• Open bales/crates as required for production.
• Load and unload raw materials and batches safely.
