Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking a Batch Maker in New Jersey to set up, operate, and tend machines that mix chemicals, pigments, and related materials. You will ensure batches meet work instructions and QC guidance.

Responsibilities include preparing dispersers, monitoring equipment, lifting heavy materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prior production experience and forklift operation are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in production.
• Read batch tickets and prepare labels.
• Able to operate high-speed dispersers and related equipment.
• Able to lift 50–100 pounds and read scales.
• Experience with forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Staging and charging raw materials into process tanks and following batch work instructions.
• Prepare disperser and letdown tank for production and clean up as needed.
• Monitor high-speed disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters to ensure batch accuracy.
• Adjust batch under QC guidance until approved.
• Obtain batch tickets and coordinate materials with floor supervisor.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and participate in cycle counts and inventory.
• Assist in other departments such as filling or material handling.
• Help make sample batches.
• Ensure the work area is safe and hazards are reported.
• Dust collector cleanouts when required.
