Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a Chemistry Technician for a contract/temporary opportunity in Philadelphia, PA. The role supports analytical testing, materials characterization, and technology development within a scientific laboratory environment.

The position requires an associate degree in chemistry or related field, 3–5 years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with GC, HPLC, MS, NMR, FTIR preferred; safety and quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Prepare and test samples, standards, and materials for analytical characterization.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments used in chemical and materials analysis.
• Analyze experimental data and communicate technical results clearly.
• Support multiple R&D and laboratory projects while meeting established timelines.
• Associate degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred for this level.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, standards, and test materials for analytical characterization and laboratory testing.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments used to evaluate coatings, polymers, and related materials.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and electronic data systems.
• Perform routine instrument calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to support reliable lab operations.
• Follow laboratory quality standards, regulatory requirements, and Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
• Support multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced laboratory environment.
