Job summary

Axalta's Philadelphia facility is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Global Innovation Center. You will conduct routine and complex research activities, assist scientists, manage data, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include designing experiments, preparing coatings formulations, recording results, troubleshooting, and helping plan workflows. A 2-year or 4-year science degree with chemistry exposure is preferred, with opportunities to travel for product

Qualifications

• A 2-year degree with 3+ years in industrial lab.
• 4-year degree in physical or life science with chemistry lab experience.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfortable handling hazardous materials.
• Ability to read safety and operating manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of experiments and collect data.
• Prepare and evaluate coating formulations and record results.
• Run tests and troubleshoot in the lab.
• Document findings and communicate results.
• Support scientists in R&D processes.
• Train other technicians as qualified.
• Travel to customer locations for meetings and support.
