Tank Connection in Parsons, KS is seeking a Coatings Operator Level 1 for the second shift to load, unload and prep parts for the automated powder coating line. This full-time, manual labor role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced production setting.

The operator will operate a forklift after certification, perform line-loading tasks, inspect finished parts, and support PM/6S duties while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Load parts and hang hooks/tabs for coating line.
  • Maintain line density and ensure smooth unloading of finished parts.
  • Perform quality inspections for slag, holes and surface quality.
  • Support PM and 6S duties and housekeeping in staging areas.
  • Operate forklift after certification and move materials as needed.

**Position Summary:** The Coatings Operator is responsible for the loading, unloading, and preparation of parts for the automated powder coating paint line.

Coatings Operator Education And Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Coatings Operator Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of Coatings Operator, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Coatings Operator Work Environment

While performing the duties of Coatings Operator, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
