Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our Front Royal, Virginia facility. You will operate and maintain bulk paint loading and manufacturing equipment, follow exact batch instructions, and handle raw materials safely.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, achieving PMHE certification, and working a 12-hour rotating shift with safety and quality at the forefront. Responsibilities include measuring materials, troubleshooting equipment, and documenting production data while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift following a 60-90 day day-shift training period.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry materials short distances.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to safely operate mechanical equipment and obtain Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) certification.
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions and industrial manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain bulk paint loading and manufacturing equipment.
• Follow batch cards, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to accurately manufacture products.
• Measure, weigh, and safely handle raw materials used throughout the production process.
• Adhere to all plant safety standards, environmental policies, and operating procedures.
• Handle hazardous materials and manage hazardous waste in compliance with site requirements.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on production equipment.
• Utilize computer systems and production software to support manufacturing operations.
• Maintain quality standards, production documentation, and operational records.
• Collaborate within a self-managed team environment to achieve production goals.
• Adapt to changing production priorities and business demands.
