Job summary

Nature's Touch Frozen Foods in Edwardsville, Kansas, is seeking a Product Developer to own the industrialization and commercialization of our light coating line, from recipe development through first production runs. You'll work closely with Production, Quality, and the Product Development team to bring new products to life on a scalable platform.

In this role, you’ll drive coating formulation, validate processes, and ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 3–5 years in product development, industrialization, or quality within food manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with coating technologies and coating science (viscosity, adhesion, coverage, yield).
• Experience supporting production trials, first productions, or product launches.
• GMP, food safety, and quality control principles knowledge.
• Excel proficiency; TraceGains or Smartsheet is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and refine new coating recipes to meet target sensory, functional, and cost profiles.
• Run bench-top and pilot-scale trials to validate new formulations before scale-up.
• Evaluate new ingredients, technologies, and coating techniques to expand capabilities.
• Translate customer and market briefs into workable recipe concepts.
• Document formulations, trial results, and specifications clearly.
• Set up and maintain lab space, equipment, and supplies for testing.
