Job summary

Nature's Touch is seeking a Product Developer at our Edwardsville, Kansas plant to own the coating line’s industrialization from recipe to first production runs. You will validate formulations, oversee SOPs, and ensure quality and food safety standards across raw materials and finished goods.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, and the Product Development team to bring new products to life, while maintaining lab space and supporting scale-up initiatives on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 3–5 years in product development, industrialization, or quality within food manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with coating technologies and coating science.
• Experience supporting production trials, first productions, or product launches.
• GMP, food safety, and quality control principles.
• Excel proficiency; TraceGains or Smartsheet is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and refine coating recipes to meet sensory, functional, and cost targets.
• Lead bench-top and pilot-scale trials before scale-up.
• Translate briefs into workable concepts and document results clearly.
• Own industrialization and scale-up of the light coating line; support launches.
• Maintain SOPs, control plans, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to optimize line performance.
• Coordinate timelines with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time commercialization.
• Review incoming materials against specifications and ensure traceability.
• Support food safety programs and coordinate sample shipments.
