Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Santa Rosa, CA, is seeking an experienced technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement on coating sputter equipment and related systems. You will diagnose mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, cooling, tooling, and utility issues to keep production running smoothly.

You will use hand tools, meters, and test equipment, following procedures and drawings, and may assist with root-cause analysis and training of junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience maintaining manufacturing, semiconductor, vacuum, coating, sputter, or similar production equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of vacuum, pneumatic, cooling, tooling, and utility-related systems.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, test equipment, and standard maintenance documentation.
• Experience following written procedures, interpreting drawings or manuals, and documenting work accurately.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting equipment issues independently and escalating appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, cleaning, repair, adjustment, and improvement on coating sputter equipment and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, cooling, tooling, utility, and basic controls issues.
• Support recovery from equipment failures and assist root cause analysis to reduce downtime.
• Assist with non-routine repairs, tool upgrades, process support issues, and maintenance planning with safe practices.
