Job summary

Green Bay Packaging - Performance Products & Tapes Division in Aurora, IL is seeking a self-motivated machine operator to work safely in a team-based setting, set up and run the slitting, coating, or printing lines, and maintain quality workmanship.

The role requires strong communication, with overtime including weekends possible. Shift is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and hourly pay ranges from $23 to $30 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Operate, change over, start up, and clean up the machine.
  • Set up the machine, including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
  • Enter production run information into a computer, including job information and measurements.
  • Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

Overview

Green Bay Packaging - Performance Products & Tapes Division is expanding in Aurora, IL. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work safely in a team-based system, schedule their work, prioritize tasks, and complete them in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality workmanship. Overtime including weekends may be available.

Responsibilities
  • Work safely and follow all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
  • Report time, production, and material usage accurately.
  • Set up the machine, including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
  • Enter production run information into a computer, including job information and measurements.
  • Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to the Production Supervisor.
  • Operate, change over, start up, and clean up the machine.
  • Check raw materials on hand against what is needed for each production run to prevent shortages.
  • Use a ruler to verify dimensions on material to ensure a quality product.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make recommendations to improve the process.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.
