Job summary

Aerotek in Windsor, CT seeks a General Production Worker / Coating Operator to operate coating and converting equipment and run machinery per product specs. You will monitor quality, follow detailed work orders, and ensure safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include loading material, adjusting equipment for coating and rewinding, labeling products, and verifying BOMs.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of machine operation or extrusion experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills and aptitude if no prior operating experience.
• Basic math skills for measurements and settings.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Careful with labeling, documentation, and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Load jumbo rolls, set up machinery, and prepare for production.
• Adjust machine components for coating, slitting, and rewinding.
• Review work orders and bills of materials for accuracy.
• Label products and packaging, ensuring proper identification.
• Pack finished goods and maintain inventory documentation.
• Produce adhesive products meeting quality and time targets.
• Follow ISO procedures and safety guidelines in all tasks.
• Perform safety checks before start-up and conduct basic maintenance.
• Participate in training on first shift and work twelve-hour shifts.
