Job summary

ITW Specialty Films in Kalkaska, MI seeks a Coater Operator for a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). Starting pay is $24.75/hour plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

You will safely operate the coating line, perform quality testing, handle materials, and enter data. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, wear PPE, and pass drug and background checks; overtime may be required. It offers a full benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer/keyboarding experience including data entry.
• Ability to work overtime/flexible shift.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop operation of machine using control panel.
• Align or fasten machine parts with hand tools.
• Thread or feed polyester, adjust temperature, speed and flow.
• Observe and adjust to maintain product specs and quality.
• Measure, mix and test to ensure ink thickness and conformance.
• Operate testing equipment and determine pass/fail decisions.
• Clean machine and parts between runs; compound lockout/tagout duties.
• Move materials and parts using carts, Big-Joe, pallet jacks; some heavy lifting.
• Print production run sheets and labels; perform QA testing.
• Follow hazardous material handling requirements.
• May mix ink/paint; cross-train on other coating equipment.
