Job summary

EmergencyMD in Scranton, PA seeks a Coater Helper to support coating operations on production lines and assist with startup, loading rolls, and line setup to maintain production flow.

This physically demanding role requires standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Four 12‑hour shifts are Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing, warehousing or other industrial environment is preferred but not required.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience utilizing a lift truck (forklift) or have the ability to pass a lift truck licensing test.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper machine startup and assist with line setup and clean-ups.
• Stage rolls, load onto machine, and prep for line operations.
• Troubleshoot during downtime and assist with web breaks and waste handling.
• Perform duties of Coating Assistant or Operator when assigned.
• Ensure quality products and conduct in-process tests.
• Complete paperwork and support productivity and waste reduction targets.
• Report faults to Operator or Shift Supervisor.
• Follow environmental, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
