Job description

As a Coating Foreman in St. Louis, MO, you will be the direct line of communication between the superintendent and field craft. This role demands outstanding communication abilities and a comprehensive understanding of all field tasks and processes. You must effectively communicate with owners, vendors, and other contractors, clearly conveying project objectives, timelines, and progress updates, as well as addressing any concerns or questions that may arise.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Can effectively communicate expectations for daily work activities to each team member
  • Ability to identify where & when to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday test, and adhesion test.
  • Consistently leads & coaches others on STAC meetings
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to assess conditions & issues accurately and determine suitable corrective action. Report said corrective actions to the superintendent.
  • Can identify and manage the personal needs of their team
  • Respectful of, and has earned the respect of, the team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Senior Technician & Superintendent
  • Understand the schedule requirements of the project and the cost impacts of their actions.
  • Can manage the skillsets of their team and utilize them in an effective manner
  • Can motivate their team to perform
  • Leads by example: First through the door
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Ability to safely drive a pickup truck with a trailer attached
  • Can operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment on their jobsite
  • Can source, order, and maintain inventories of consumables, PPE, and rental equipment for their project
  • Able to calibrate confined space monitoring equipment
  • Able to send equipment to appropriate vendors for repairs
  • Engages in and provides input to work planning meetings with Superintendent
  • Confined Space Competent Person
  • 3-5 years in high-performance coating application(s)
  • Previous experience in leading crew(s).
