Job summary

FM Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Coating Equipment Technician to support coatings production, maintenance, and engineering related to thermal spray and robotic systems. The role involves data collection, calibration, and preventive maintenance to ensure peak performance.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year technical background, with SPC familiarity and strong communication skills. Semiconductor or industrial manufacturing experience is preferred, and ABB certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with fundamentals of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Semiconductor industry experience desired; otherwise other industrial manufacturing experience considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Robot Operation and Maintenance training; ABB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair for coating equipment and related systems.
• Work with Operations to resolve problems.
• Assist in training of coating operations staff and development of training programs.
• Maintain coating systems data collection equipment and analyze coating cubicle parameters.
• Ensure safety and compliance with EH&S policies.
