Job summary

Oerlikon, Alma, MI, is seeking a Service Technician to maintain coating and support equipment within the production facility. You will schedule and perform preventive maintenance, document tasks, and mentor others as needed.

You should have an AA degree or relevant certification, 2+ years in HVAC, vacuum tech, or industrial repair, and be able to lift 50 lbs and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• AA degree or relevant industry certification in electro-mechanical discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience with HVAC, vacuum technology, automotive, and/or industrial equipment repair.
• Experience interpreting mechanical/electrical schematics and troubleshooting equipment from schematics.
• Detail-oriented with strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule time with production to ensure preventive maintenance is performed on time.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.
• Provide emergency equipment repairs to keep production running at all times.
• Ensure compliance with equipment standards and safety measures.
• Maintain up-to-date equipment data on the server and manage inventory to minimize downtime.
