Job summary

Versogen, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Coating Engineer in Newark, DE to develop, test, and manufacture PiperION® AEM membranes. This on-site role bridges lab development with full-scale production, focusing on coating formulation and performance analysis.

You will work with polymer formulations, test membranes electrochemically, and collaborate to scale processes from lab to manufacturing while maintaining safety and quality throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related discipline.
• Hands-on lab experience with polymer formulations, coatings, or membrane fabrication.
• Strong analytical skills for experimental data.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple, time-sensitive projects.
• Excellent communication to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze polymer solution behavior to optimize formulation and coating performance.
• Create lab-scale membrane coatings with precise formulation and application techniques.
• Aid in membrane production runs to scale lab results to manufacturing.
• Characterize membrane properties using lab testing equipment.
• Perform electrochemical testing of membranes in electrolyzers for in-situ performance.
