Salary Range: $16.51 To $17.51 Annually

Job Summary

The Batcher is responsible for ensuring fabric is processed accurately and efficiently according to shop order requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, safety, and production flow by supporting machine operations, inspections, and documentation.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain complete knowledge of all emergency and safety devices on tenter frames.
• Properly follow and adhere to the bell communication system for entering and exiting machine ends.
• Ensure compliance with all plant and departmental safety, quality, and housekeeping policies.
• Follow shop order notes precisely and maintain accurate records in IFS and physical logbooks.
• Assist operators and inspectors during all machine setups.
• Perform operator or inspector duties during scheduled breaks and unscheduled absences as needed.
• Complete additional tasks or duties as assigned by management or shift leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Forklift license preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver fabric rolls weighing up to 1,000 pounds.
• Ability to stand on concrete floors and metal catwalks for up to 7 hours per day.
• Ability to walk distances of approximately 200 feet up to 40 times per day.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as required by the job.
• Good vision with the ability to identify fabric defects and shade variations.

Work Schedule

• Must be able to work assigned shifts and scheduled workdays.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
