Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking a Coater Operator to ensure scheduled orders meet specifications while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity in a team setting.

You will follow procedures, perform quality checks, participate in die changes, keep records up to date, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High degree of manual dexterity.
• Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters.
• Knowledge of production schedules.
• Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry.
• Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail.
• Tow-motor license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift.
• Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers.
• Perform quality and standard checks.

• Complete appropriate data sheets as required.
• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required.
• Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility.

• Maintain inventories needed for production run.
• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers.
• Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process.
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering, while keeping safety, quality and production at or above set standards in a team environment.
