Job summary

Tarkett Sports is seeking a detail-oriented Coating Department operator for the 1st shift in our Georgia facility. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, safety, quality, and adherence to production schedules for coatings and turf production.

Responsibilities include supervising line associates, ensuring safety, maintaining line cleanliness, and coordinating with maintenance to minimize downtime. A strong emphasis on quality and process compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide instruction and direction to employees.
• Ability to read and understand SOPs and Safety Data Sheets.
• Strong communication with employees & supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Verify presence of all associates on the line and adjust for absences.
• Ensure associates work safely; report unsafe acts to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coating line.
• Verify schedule according to product and coating type.
• Ensure turf is produced at a first quality standard.
• Operate line at specification speed.
• Operate perforator as required.
• Coordinate with maintenance for machine problems/breakdowns.
• Ensure autonomous maintenance is completed as specified.
• Complete startup and shutdown checklists as needed.
• Maintain inventory of consumables; report low levels.
