Job summary

Tarkett Sports is seeking a hands-on Coating Department Operator to oversee day-to-day operations on the coating line. You will monitor line performance, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and coordinate with maintenance and planning to meet production goals.

The role offers a hybrid work option and a commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Candidates should be reliable, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide instruction and direction to employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to solve practical problems with low supervision
• Ability to read and understand SOPs and Safety Data Sheets
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and supervisor
• Basic computer skills including e-mail, internet use, and spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Verify presence of all associates on the line; adjust for absences
• Ensure associates work in a safe manner; report unsafe acts to supervisor
• Ensure cleanliness of coating line is maintained
• Verify schedule according to product and coating type (list received from Planning dept.)
• Ensure turf is produced at a first quality standard
• Ensure coating line is running at specification speed
• Operate perforator as required
• Contact maintenance for machine problems or breakdowns
• Ensure autonomous maintenance is completed as specified
• Ensure startup and shutdown checklists are completed as needed
• Ensure inventory of consumables are maintained; report low levels to supervisor
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
