Job summary

RK&K in Charleston, SC seeks a Coastal Project Manager to lead our coastal engineering team. You will oversee risk assessment, hydrodynamic modeling, and the design of coastal protection measures while coordinating with clients and the design team.

Candidate must have 10+ years in coastal engineering, a SC PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and a BS in Coastal or Civil Engineering; experience with MIKE, Delft3D, SWAN, CMS or ADCIRC.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Coastal Engineering/Design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Experience with construction plans and specifications
  • Proficiency with coastal modeling software (MIKE, Delft3D, SWAN, CMS, ADCIRC)
  • SC PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Bachelor's in Coastal or Civil Engineering with coastal dynamics expertise

Responsibilities

  • Oversee risk assessment for coastal projects (hazards, storms, sea level rise)
  • Perform hydrodynamic and wave modeling using coastal software
  • Evaluate coastal structures for protection
  • Design coastal protection measures and manage resources
  • Lead client meetings and coordinate with design team
  • Provide office/site support and stakeholder coordination
  • Mentor junior coastal staff
