Job summary

PND Engineers in Anchorage is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Coastal & Water Resources with EIT and 0-3 years of experience. You will develop coastal, hydraulic and water resources designs, model coastal processes, and contribute to fieldwork across Alaska.

You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, progress projects through design, construction documents, field inspections, and construction administration, while gaining hands-on experience in coastal engineering on challenging

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/coastal/environmental engineering program required.
• EIT certification in the United States with Alaska PE goal preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with coastal processes, hydrology or hydraulics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform coastal engineering analyses involving waves, currents, shoreline erosion and protection.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage systems and water resources projects.
• Develop numerical models using MIKE 21, Delft3D, HEC-RAS, SRH-2D, HEC-HMS, HY-8.
• Assist with civil design for coastal and waterfront infrastructure and utilities.
• Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Participate in field investigations and site assessments; support construction administration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on Alaska projects.
• Travel to remote locations for fieldwork as needed.
