Teignbridge District Council seeks a Coastal Process Scientist for a fixed-term contract up to 12 months to cover maternity leave. Based with the South West Coastal Monitoring team at the University of Plymouth, you will collect, appraise and analyse coastal data to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in a marine-related field or equivalent.
• Strong ability to research and analyse coastal data.
• IT skills with GIS, and data interpretation for coastal management.
• Ability to produce analytical reports and provide recommendations.
• Excellent communication with diverse audiences.
• Solid knowledge of coastal processes and management.

Responsibilities

• Support data collection and analysis of coastal processes.
• Prepare detailed analytical reports and coastal management advice.
• Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
