The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Marine Maintenance Deckhand to support dredging, piling, ramp, and gantry maintenance along the NC coast. Work schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, with living accommodations provided on vessels during shifts.

This full-time role is based in Currituck County, NC. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a TWIC card, and may require Coast Guard Master of Towing, National Crane Operator, and Class A CDL.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• TWIC card required; may require Coast Guard Master of Towing, and Class A CDL certifications.
• Knowledge of dredge, cranes, tugs, and related equipment.
• Ability to work in exposed marine environments and follow procedures and safety rules.

Responsabilidades

• Assist dredging operations, including dredge pipeline work and dewatering activities.
• Assist in piling work and dolphin structure assembly and repair.
• Assist ramp and gantry maintenance, including hydraulic cylinders and counterweights.
