KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician for a small acute care hospital in a historic coastal town in Maine.

The role involves performing diverse laboratory tests, reporting results to physicians, and supporting QA and safety programs. The ideal candidate holds an accredited Medical Technology degree and MT/MLT certification or eligibility, with strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.

Formación

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Certification/registration or eligible as MT/MLT.
• Knowledge of medical technology principles, methods and equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs tests in hematology, immunohematology, immunology, bacteriology, microscopy, chemistry and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Performs phlebotomies including venipuncture and arterial/ capillary punctures as appropriate.
• Calibrates, standardizes and maintains instruments; conducts quality control.
• Validates and reports test results accurately and promptly to physicians.
• Maintains laboratory policies, QA programs, and participates in staff training.
