HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly server at The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club in Virginia Beach. You will greet guests, take orders, input into POS, deliver meals, and ensure accuracy while adhering to alcohol service laws.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must be a team player and willing to help co-workers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Know standard table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote menu variety.
• Capable of handling up to 30 lb trays and operating beverage equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication; adapt style for audiences.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests and explain specials or promotions.
• Record guest orders, repeat back for accuracy.
• Input orders into POS to inform kitchen personnel.
• Deliver orders to guest with correct condiments and accuracy.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate alcohol service rules.
