Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County in Fort Bragg, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.

The role supervises nursing staff, collaborates with the care team, and participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. A BSN is preferred; RN licensure in California and current ACLS/BLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• RN licensure in the state of practice required
• CPR/BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
• Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
• Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
