Job summary

Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach in Cambria seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the day‑to‑day upkeep of the hotel, ensuring safety, functionality, and guest readiness. You’ll supervise the Engineering team, coordinate preventive and emergency work, and maintain guest rooms, building systems, and public spaces.

The role requires hands‑on troubleshooting of HVAC/PTAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, with focus on safety, documentation, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hotel maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/PTAC, carpentry, drywall, locks, and pool/spa care.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair across guest rooms, public areas, and building systems.
• Experience coordinating preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and emergency response.
• Experience scheduling, training, coaching, and holding team members accountable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee interior and exterior maintenance across the property, including guest rooms and public areas.
• Lead, schedule, train, and develop the maintenance team with accountability.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to keep the property safe and guest-ready.
• Inspect guestrooms and document preventive maintenance of appliances and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/PTAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, locks, and pool/spa equipment.
