Job summary

Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach in Cambria is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day hotel maintenance, ensure safety, functionality, and guest-ready condition across guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems. You will lead the engineering team and manage preventive and emergency repairs to support a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel maintenance experience, including supervisory duties.
• Solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair guest rooms, public spaces, and systems.
• Experience coordinating preventive maintenance and emergency responses.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance across the property, guest rooms, public areas, and grounds.
• Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team with clear expectations.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Ensure guestroom maintenance inspections for electrical appliances, lighting, TVs, and refrigerators.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, PTAC systems, and repair equipment as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, locks, and pool/spa equipment.
• Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain records and track work completed and supplies.
• Coordinate with hotel leadership and other departments; respond to emergencies after hours.
